Classes
START DATE: 7th November 2026
TITLE: Contemporary Flow
LEVEL: Intermediate
Class Description
This class serves as an invitation for participants to develop a toolbox of movement qualities that travel between contrasting states: explosive power and quiet tenderness, precision and surrender, wildness and care, control and abandon. We will allow ourselves permission to move as we truly are, meeting our inner beasts with the same openness we meet our gentleness. Through imagery informed instruction, rooted in gut instinct and imagination, we will move fluidly through a series of exercises that aim to strengthen our technique, and expand our availability, while building upon our most raw version of ourselves, unlocking movement that is both true to us and rich in quality.
Following warmup, we will move onto material that not only utilises this toolbox, but serves as a platform to delve deeper into exploration and discovery. Becoming a passenger to our movement, and our movement a passenger to the music, we will dig deep to uncover the material’s textures, sensations, contradictions, and emotional landscape. We will investigate how to inhabit the material fully, allowing the movement to surprise us, carry us, and become a reflection of who we are in that moment.
