Biography

Ellen is a dancer, teacher, and gymnastics coach based in London. Dance and Gymnastics have always been a huge part of Ellen’s life. As a teenager she received the director’s choice award for her performance in ‘Swan Lake’ with English Youth Ballet. She was also a competitive gymnast throughout her childhood, and with her floor routine she was ranked amongst the top ten in her region (for her age/category). Progressing into professional training, she received her diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy (London). She has worked as a dancer both in the UK and internationally with companies and shows such as Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, The Kings Theatre, Mark Thompson Productions, Evolution Pantomimes, Theatre Severn, ‘We Will Rock You’ and more. Ellen has been involved in gymnastics coaching/dance teaching for over 10 years and currently teaches regular dance classes throughout central London. She has a big passion for dance and gymnastics, regularly training and teaching both. She is very motivated in providing an encouraging and supportive environment for all.

Class Description

This is a contemporary class that blends fluid choreography, expressive movement, and grounded floorwork with light acrobatic elements. You’ll explore dynamic transitions between standing and floor-based movement, developing strength, coordination, and body awareness along the way. The class focuses on building confidence in both technical skills and personal expression, encouraging you to move with intention and authenticity.

Through guided exercises and creative sequences, you’ll improve flexibility, control, and flow, while experimenting with momentum, balance, and weight shifts. This class offers a supportive space to challenge yourself, refine your movement quality, and connect more deeply with your own unique style.
