She works now as a freelancer in the UK and in Italy, participating in different projects and teaching dance and Pilates.
This contemporary dance class is for anyone who is interested in gaining a better understanding of what contemporary dance is and which principles are used. Participants will be part of a safe, positive and supportive environment, where everyone can feel free to learn, explore and discover new ways of moving. Classes will focus on studying specific movement vocabulary, correct alignment, improving coordination, memory and musicality. We will work with warm up sequences and centre work, some crossings to travel through the space and we will implement some choreography. Dancers will study a fusion of contemporary dance styles, with a main focus on Release. Creativity, physicality and openness are the key principles for this class.
A contemporary floorwork class where you will learn elements of floorwork (such as rolls, slides, inversions and shoulder rolls), groovy transactions and choreography section. Expect a class where you will push the limits of your movement and you will use a combination of floor and standing sequences to help building your own flow and unique style. Please be aware we will be spending most of the time on the floor so long trousers and long sleeves are strongly suggested.
Floorwork Foundations is a class that will introduce the essential principles of Contemporary Floorwork technique. We will take the time to break down and learn the floorwork fundamentals in order for you to gain more confidence, flow and fluidity on and off the floor.
The class will offer a warm up, initial sequences where you will have the chance to study the key elements of floorwork, some crossings to learn how to roll and slide across the space and a choreography at the end of the class.
These sessions are suitable for beginners/improvers who already have some experience in floorwork and/or contemporary dance. We will work mostly on the floor so it is highly recommended to wear long trousers, long sleeve t-shirt and socks.
