Biography
Tommy is British artist and creative with a background in musical theatre and dance education. Tommy’s early performance path led him to work with Silva young as a child and perform for the queen at the Royal Albert hall. Later influences and mentors would shape Tommy’s Music Theatre and creative leadership career. After training with Philip Foster, as a singer Tommy performed in Pictures of life a new work for Lionel Sigeal and later Sir Tim Rice as his lead tenor vocalist for a self entitled show (An Evening with Sir Tim Rice) Tommy has a background in grass roots Jazz, mastering styles from fosse, matt Mattox and Aliey. Tommys Jazz tech training was provided under the guidance of Teresa Kerr (London studios/Ready Steady Go) this disco tech jazz, combined with American styles of cabaret jazz define Tommys unique style as a choreographer and dance trainer.
Class Description
Join Danceworks choreographer Tommy Langdale for an immersive look into the world of Bob Fosse, his shows and unique rule book that shaped the way modern dance is executed and viewed till this day! You’ll get to use prop and furniture during the workshop and learn how to ‘egg walk’. The workshop promises to be engaging and suitable for all levels.
Dress code: all black, some sparkle if you want. Something of distinction, a real big spender!
