“Richard’s explanation, advice, combination that helps up improve, everything was amazing. After a class, when I had questions, he is super patient, generous, kind to explain for me. It helped me so much. Richard is busy and he has the time for students because he is an amazing teacher with kind heart. This is like a dream teacher and makes Danceworks even more special ” – Izumi

Class description

Following the traditional structure of a classical ballet technique class, Richard incorporates a focus on breath, playful transference of weight, an exaggerated use of line as well as a holistic and individual experience of the body.

The centre practice will continue with these principles and culminate in a choreographic phrase which will develop week by week. Richard will guide the class to make personal choices as you develop together, giving you an agency over your own practice. This is a fun and energetic class delivered with kindness

(This is not a class for absolute beginners, at least one year of Ballet is required. No Contemporary dance experience is needed).
