Class Description

This style combines elements of floorwork, contemporary, and classical choreography. The main focus is on working on the floor, fluidity or, on the contrary, sharpness of movements, as well as body expression. The style is based on strip-plastic techniques but is primarily aimed at developing femininity, flexibility, and plasticity rather than eroticism. Undressing is not involved. A distinctive feature of this dance style is footwear with high platforms and heels. It visually elongates the legs, facilitates comfortable execution of tricks, and creates an effect of mystery and otherworldly aesthetics. In the beginning, of course, you can practice without the platform—just in socks.

Class structure:

• Warm-up (15 min)

• Light conditioning (10 min)

• Learning choreography (60 min)

• Opportunity to record yourself and dance in small groups or solo in the center of the room (10 min)

Knee pads are mandatory!

Heels are optional!

For those new to the style: if not wearing heels, you must wear socks.

If you’d like to purchase heels, katarina recommends starting with this model:

Or just dance in socks! No sneakers.
