Biography
Ellen is a dancer, teacher, and gymnastics coach based in London. Dance and Gymnastics have always been a huge part of Ellen’s life. As a teenager she received the director’s choice award for her performance in ‘Swan Lake’ with English Youth Ballet. She was also a competitive gymnast throughout her childhood, and with her floor routine she was ranked amongst the top ten in her region (for her age/category). Progressing into professional training, she received her diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy (London). She has worked as a dancer both in the UK and internationally with companies and shows such as Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, The Kings Theatre, Mark Thompson Productions, Evolution Pantomimes, Theatre Severn, ‘We Will Rock You’ and more. Ellen has been involved in gymnastics coaching/dance teaching for 10 plus years and currently teaches regular dance classes throughout central London. She has a big passion for dance and gymnastics, regularly training and teaching both. She is very motivated in providing an encouraging and supportive environment for all.
Class Description
This class encourages people to learn new acrobatic skills in a safe and supportive space. There will be a focus on developing strength/flexibility, body awareness and balance work. We will also look at connecting skills together through movement and
transitions. Together we will work on your foundational acro technique and will also aim to gain a good repertoire of basic skills that you can perform safely. You will also get to learn related strength/flexibility/balance exercises that will assist you in your progression within the style. This class is suited to beginners.
