Biography

Since completing his professional training at London Studio Centre, Edd has enjoyed a varied career as a dancer, teacher and rehearsal director. His performing career has encompassed contemporary dance, ballet, opera and West End theatre, and he has performed work by Martha Graham, Robert Cohan, Kenneth MacMillan, Matthew Bourne and Javier de Frutos, among many others. As a teacher, Edd has worked with many of the UK’s top conservatoires and has been a faculty member at London Studio Centre since 2015. Specializing in Graham-based contemporary technique, his teaching practice aims to combine technical rigour with personal artistry.

Class Description

Rooted in modern dance technique, with a focus on attention to the breath, articulacy of the spine and full-body connection, Edd’s classes are designed to enable participants to build strength, move dynamically and explore their range of expression and artistry.
Beginning with floorwork and standing centre exercises, and building to more choreographic and expressive sequences, these quick-moving classes will develop and hone technique through movement that is expansive, powerful and sensitive, in a
generous and energising environment.
