Biography
Borna Babić is a freelance performer, choreographer and teacher based in Brussels. In 2025, he co-founded the dance company Paper Bridge together with Eliana Stragapede. After his studies at Codarts, Rotterdam (2018) he worked as a professional dancer with Marina Mascarell and Club Guy & Roni. He is currently working with Olivier de Sagazan as performer in La Messe de l’Âne and has been part of Ultima Vez / Wim Vandekeybus since 2019, performing in Die Bakchen, Traces, Hands do not touch your precious Me and Scattered Memories.
As a choreographer, he was commissioned to choreograph the dance movie The end does not see (2021) for Scapino Ballet, Rotterdam. His independent work AMAE (2022), created together with Eliana Stragapede, won 1st place in the Copenhagen Inernational Choreography Competition and Production Awards by Nederlands Dans Theater and Holstebro Dansekompagni.
Class Description
This Counter technique class is a contemporary dance technique class. It stretches, coordinates and strengthens the body, making the dancer sweat, build stamina and really move. This class starts with a recurring set of exercises, allowing dancers to investigate the Counter technique principles in detail. The second half of the class consists of changing components and working towards luscious movement combinations. This workshop allows participants to expel less energy in aim to lose their fear of taking risks and gain speed in changing direction.
