Biography:

Siân Hopkins is a dance artist, lecturer and graduate of Rambert School. The most inspirational time she spent dancing was in cathedrals and sacred sites with Moving Visions Dance Theatre as Principal Artist and Rehearsal Director. Since completing her MA in Dance Performance with Specialisation in Ritual (2012), Siân’s research interests lie in exploring meaning in the arts. By focussing on bringing together depth of knowledge and compassion, there is an aim to cultivate positive self-perception and wellbeing through dance training and performance. As co-founder of Kamavera Dance Theatre, her choreographic works aim to inspire curiosity and reflection, going hand in hand with the belief that dance enables us to become more empathetic, open and generous human beings. Siân is currently a Lecturer at Middlesex University, and ISTD Lead Lecturer for the contemporary faculty.
