Class Description

Amaballet is a harmonious fusion of Amapiano’s street dance style that originates from the Amapiano music genre in South Africa and is fused with classical Ballet. The first 20 minutes is a warm up that includes some Pilates exercises focusing on core strength with some contemporary movements. We then move on to do a 30min classical bar and finally proceed to the centre and learn the Amapiano techniques followed by a choreography section merging Amapiano and Ballet, think neoclassical repertoire with a street style vibe. Bhungane is a professional dancer with Ballet Black, as a proud South African he has fused both amapiano which is from his home roots & his classical training into a dance style he calls Amaballet.
